Asset Management

Configure asset settings and requirements, including requests, verification, and tracking details. These settings determine how the system handles assets, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Navigate to AdminAsset Management.

General settings

Define asset handling, including approval processes, notifications, and display preferences.

  • Asset request required - pending verification workflow: Specify if asset requests must go through a verification process before approval.

  • Send email on asset transfer: Select whether a notification email should be sent when an asset is transferred.

  • Only display assets without parents: Choose whether child assets should be hidden or displayed in asset lists.

  • Require assets to be verified to invoices: Ensures that assets must be verified before they can be linked to invoices.

  • Enable equipment class parts handling: Determine if assets must be verified before they can be linked to invoices.

    If Yes, select whether Enforcement of asset creation is optional or required when equipment class parts are used on work orders.

Asset data requirements

Control which asset details are required, optional, or hidden to standardize data entry and ensure consistency.

  • Serial #: Specify whether entering the asset’s serial number is mandatory.

  • Supplier: Select if the asset’s supplier must be entered.

  • Asset condition: Choose if the condition of the asset is a required field.

  • Fixture number: Specify whether entering a fixture number is required for the asset.

  • Purchase price: Select if the purchase price needs to be recorded.

  • Salvage value: Indicate whether the estimated value of the asset at the end of its useful life should be recorded.

  • Location detail: Define whether location details must be provided for each asset.

  • Model: Choose whether the asset’s model information is required.

  • Require in-service date: Select whether the asset's first use date must be entered when adding or editing an asset. Setting this to No can be useful if the exact date is unknown.

Lifecycle and maintenance settings

Define key attributes related to asset lifespan, maintenance, and installation.

  • Maintenance threshold: Define the point at which an asset requires maintenance or replacement.

  • Expected asset lifecycle: Set the point at which an asset requires maintenance or replacement.

  • Residual life: Define the estimated operational lifespan of the asset.

  • Installing provider: Select the contractor or company responsible for installing the asset.
